Roads Are For Everyone Ride

May 23, 2015 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Free

Oxford County Moves is a movement to encourage active, healthy living by making it easier for people to walk and ride their bikes. Join us as we kick off our Roads Are For Everyone campaign with a free bike event!
There will be three routes to choose from: easy (5 miles), moderate (26 miles) and advanced (34 miles). Free timing is being offered for riders who want to challenge themselves by riding a route as fast as they can. The easy route will be a guided group ride. All routes start from historic downtown Norway Maine. Registration opens at 9am and rides begin at 10am.
We believe that Roads Are For Everyone — people walking, riding bikes, and driving — and that we’re all responsible for keeping each other safe. With safer roads and safer behavior, it’s easier for more of us to enjoy walking and riding a bike. This makes is easier for us to stay healthy, and for our county to stay strong.
This event is free, but we’re encouraging donations to Oxford County’s first bikeshare program. The program is being offered by the Center for an Ecology-Based Economy.
Route maps will be shared soon!
