Walking, Biking and Active Community Conference
An upcoming conference titled "The Built Environment and Physical Activity" will explore how to improve conditions for walking and biking in village areas, neighborhoods and near schools. The conference will take place on May 7 at the Eastland Park Hotel in Portland.

Two visiting Texas bicyclists, Jim Wilson and Kyle Carr, check directions in China, Maine. Wilson, of the LMRA Bicycle Club in North Texas, takes a bike trip each summer while visiting his father in Albion. In recent years, Wilson has brought other Texans with him to experience the joys of biking Down East.
