BCM Benefit at Riverfront BBQ in Augusta Thursday, November 29, 2007, 4-9pm 300 Water Street, Augusta Thanks to everyone who supported the Bicycle Coalition of Maine and our benefit at Riverfront Barbeque on November 29, 2007. Thanks to the support of Kennebec Savings Bank, Riverfront BBQ, several donors, and members, the 2007 BCM Benefit at Riverfront Barbeque was a fantastic success raising over $3,000 for the BCM’s important work! Some 27 businesses and individuals donated items for a fantastic silent auction. Over 100 supporters came out for food, fundraising and fun! In support of the Bicycle Coalition of Maine, Kennebec Savings Bank was again the event sponsor and Riverfront Barbeque is donating nearly 10% of all dinner sales from the night. GoMaine also gave away water bottles for participants. In addition to the fun of the evening, folks were very engaged in the silent auction. In fact the items were all very popular with 11 of the 35 items meeting or exceeding their retail value and we received an average bid of 81% the value of the items!
