Who We Are

The Bicycle Coalition of Maine is a group of bicyclists like you who want to make Maine a better place to bicycle. Whether it be for recreation, adventure, transportation, competition, fun or for better health, bicycling means many things to thousands of Mainers and visitors.

The Bicycle Coalition of Maine is a membership-based nonprofit organization with more than 2,000 households paying membership dues. From our surveys we know that our household members average 3 bicyclists, resulting in over 6,000 bicyclist members statewide and some more Mainers in exile or lovers of Maine.

In addition, several hundred bicyclists volunteer with the Bicycle Coalition of Maine annually. At the core of our volunteers, and leading the Bicycle Coalition of Maine is our Board of Directors and staff.
