Women's Ride For Heart Health
Each summer the Bicycle Coalition of Maine hosts the Women's Ride for Heart Health with rides along scenic routes in Maine.
Heart disease is the #1 killer among women in Maine. Modifiable risk factors include a lack of physical activity, smoking and diet. This all-women awareness ride is a great opportunity for those who haven't ridden bikes since childhood to rediscover the health benefits -- and fun -- of bicycling.
Proceeds benefit the BCM's education mission of teaching bike safety to schoolchildren across Maine.
