Saco Police Chief Jack Clements said a vehicle that was turning right from Spring Street onto North Street (Route 112) struck a woman who was in the North Street crosswalk that is just above the Goodale Avenue intersection.

The woman, a 20-year-old Saco resident, was treated at the scene by Saco Fire and Emergency Medical Services and transported to Maine Medical Center in Portland with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, officials said.

Clements said the crash is under investigation.
