Join us!
When: August 24-27 (check-in on Thursday, August 24, and riding on Friday, Aug 25- Sunday, August 27).
Where: Bethel, ME at Gould Academy (39 Church St). The Village will be on the upper athletic fields.
About: This bike riding and camping event features your choice of long (50-60 mi) or short road (25-35 mi) routes with on-route support, and a “Village” where you can unwind, take part in daily afternoon activities that highlight local culture and scenery, eat, and camp with your fellow riders. BikeMaine Weekend is not a race! This event is about community, and experiencing Maine culture, community, and scenic road riding. With routes supported from 8:30 am- 4:30 pm daily, there is plenty of time to go at your own pace, and experience roadside stops along the way.
Never done a multi-day ride? Our routes are challenging but accessible for new and seasoned riders. Turn by turns are marked on the ground with roadside signage, and hazards are marked accordingly, so you do not have to think about directions. Still want to preview the route? A downloadable route map and cue sheet will be available for you via the RidewithGPS website or app, and printed paper maps will be available. Support vehicles are driving the routes to help you with mechanical and medical concerns. Rest stops approx. every 15 miles along the routes make sure you are fueled for the ride. And with multiple routes to choose from, you can mix and match to decide how much riding you want to do!
We also have plenty of options to customize you BikeMaine Weekend experience! Can’t make it for the full weekend? We have two day and single day registrations! Food trucks will be offering different menus daily. Register a friend or family member as a non-riding guest, boondock with your RV to camp your way, or make it a full week vacation with Summer Feet Cycling’s companion tour. Love off-road riding? Check out the Inland Woods + Trails Adventure Package in event items for daily extra rides off-road.
