Dempsey Challenge

Each September, thousands of people break out their inner athletes and challenge themselves to take on a walk, run, or ride event to help make life better for people impacted by cancer by taking on the Dempsey Challenge.
100% of funds raised by Challenge participants provide personalized, holistic services at no cost to cancer patients, survivors, care partners, bereaved individuals, families, and other loved ones. Founded by actor Patrick Dempsey, this flagship fundraising event has raised over $20 million since its inception.
The Dempsey Challenge Gravel, presented by Pinebury, returns for its second annual edition on Saturday, September 19, with two courses at 55 and 30 miles. The gravel ride is part of a growing effort to expand cycling participation at the Dempsey Challenge, and the rider experience is second to none: a fun and challenging course, well stocked aid stations, supporters cheering along the route, a real meal in the park when you roll in, and a festival to hang around for afterward.
