All events for Portland Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee – Monthly Meeting
The Bicycle Coalition of Maine stays busy with events all year round. Our goal is to connect with as many cyclists and pedestrians as possible, and we do that in a variety of ways. We seek to educate adults and children about bike/ped safety through presentations and courses, host interactive demonstrations that advocate for improvements to bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure, provide valet bike parking at local events and organize gatherings and group rides to raise awareness and enthusiasm about our mission. The Portland Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee meets once per month at City Hall on Congress Street in downtown Portland.The purpose of the committee is to make Portland a better place to walk and bicycle and wheel chair, the committee shall advocate and educate on issues relating to bicycle, transit and pedestrian issues, including handicap accessibility.
