Ride of Silence

May 20, 2020 @ 6:30 pm 8:00 pm

The Ride of Silence is an annual ride held on the third Wednesday of May each year to remember the cyclists who have been killed or injured while riding their bicycles. The event serves to honor those who have been injured or killed, unites cyclists in a silent procession, raises awareness that cyclists have the right to use the road, and asks that we all share it.

This year, the organizers of the Ride of Silence have decided to change the format of the ride. Instead of group rides, they are recommending participants ride alone or with those they live with. Individual rides should be held in accordance with rules and guidelines set by local and state authorities. The BCM encourages riders to review and follow the protocol referenced in this flyer to practice safe riding during COVID-19.

The ride organizers are committed to keeping the ride on the same date it has been held on for the last 17 years. Ride safe and thank you for your support and understanding at this time.
