Women, Femmes, & Thems Summer Ride Series
July 12 @ 5:15 pm – 7:30 pm
Our free Summer Ride series, centering femme, transgender, women, and non-binary riders returns for our 3rd season in 2023, with a new name!
Rides are free but space is limited! Registration closes on the day of each ride at noon.
Ride route: Cape Elizabeth Shore Ride (13 mi). This ride is all on-road.
Meet at: Fort Williams Park (parking lot by Ship Cove picnic area). Please arrive no later that 5:15, as the ride leaves promptly at 5:30 p.m. after check-in and a safety chat.
What do our group rides entail? Every other week we’ll take a group of no more than 25 (with 3 female ride leaders) on 6-14 mile rides, featuring some of the most rideable road and trail routes in the surrounding Portland area. The group will always stick together, and ride at a comfortable pace. These are not club rides! They are designed for those new-ish to group rides, or who just like to take in the sights while biking. Expect light to rolling hills only, and travel at about 10 mph. Each ride will take about 1.5 to 2 hours to complete.
Bikes and helmets are required. We recommend you bring water, sunscreen, bug spray, a front & rear bike light, closed toed shoes.
