Shift 2 – 8:30-12:00 (5 volunteers needed)

Registration
Let us know you’re planning on using our Valet Bike Parking service by taking 20 seconds to register by visiting beach2beacon.org/bike-valet-program.

Hours of Operation
The Valet Bike Parking service will be available from 6:00am-12:00pm. If you’re running in the race, there will be a shuttle to the starting line running from 6:00am-7:00am on an as needed basis. PLEASE DO NOT ARRIVE TO THE VALET BIKE PARKING AREA AFTER 7:00AM IF YOU PLAN TO RUN.  There will not be a shuttle available to take you to the starting point after 7:00am. The shuttle is strictly reserved for valet bike parking users who are also running in the race. (Bracelets will be checked!) Please do not plan to take the shuttle if you are a volunteer or spectator. If you are a volunteer or spectator, you can drop off your bike anytime starting at 6:00am. All bikes must be picked up by 12:00pm at the latest. Unclaimed bicycles will sadly be left at Fort Williams Park.

Location of Valet Bike Parking Area
The Valet Bike Parking service will be located at Fort Williams Park in Cape Elizabeth. If you need an address to type into your GPS you can use 1000 Shore Road, Cape Elizabeth, ME 04107. The Valet Bike Parking Area will be located in the park near the end of the access road from Shore Road. Here’s a link to the map of where the Valet Bike Parking Areas will be (indicated by the yellow stars). There will also be signage that will easily lead you to the Valet Bike Parking area.

How Valet Bike Parking Works: It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3!
1. You will bike to the Valet Bike Parking area.
2. We will ask you to sign-in by providing your first name, last name, and telephone number in case we need to reach you to pick up your bike. We will then give you a numbered bracelet to put on your wrist and place a second bracelet with the same number on your bike. This will match the bike to the proper owner.
3. You will come back after an exhilarating morning for your bike, we’ll match your bike to you based on either your bib number or bracelet number, and we’ll send you on your merry way past the idling vehicle traffic.
NOTE: We accept helmets as well items that are placed inside of a basket or pannier that is secured to a bike. We will not be responsible for loose items hanging from bikes. Please plan accordingly.

Satellite Parking Lots
If you’re planning to drive there are a number of Satellite Parking locations that are conveniently located in the surrounding area. Biking from a satellite parking lot may decrease the likelihood of getting stuck in the post race traffic. Please refer to the Satellite Parking and Shuttles page on the Beach to Beacon website for more information. There are also a number of road closures during the day as well. Please refer to the Road Closings page on the Beach to Beacon website for more information.

If you have further questions, please email Bridgette Kelly at bridgette.kelly89@gmail.com.
