Mountain Bike Classes for Beginner to Intermediate Riders

Our new urban cycling classes led some supporters to ask, “What about mountain bike classes?” Ask and ye shall receive, as the Bicycle Coalition of Maine is proud to announce new mountain bike classes that are FREE for adults and teens alike.

You’ll learn about correct body position on the bike, how to use your brakes effectively, how to navigate roots and rocks, and the answers to all your MTB questions.

Check out our available classes below, and be sure to bring:

  • A mountain bike in good, working order (contact us if you’re unsure)
  • A helmet (use of one is mandatory)
  • Additional padding and gloves (optional)
  • Water and a way to carry it on your ride (bottle cage, hydration pack, etc.)

***PLEASE NOTE: There is a limited number of spots in each of these small-group classes. Please DO NOT sign up for a class unless you are certain you can attend. If for some reason you need to cancel, please let us know as soon as possible by emailing info@bikemaine.org so we can attempt to fill your spot.***
