Essex Woods Fat Bike Race

Slipping Gears Cycling is proud to present the inaugural Essex Woods Fat Bike Race, part of the 3-race Maine Fat Bike Winter Series. See event Facebook page for details. This is a two-day event with a free “Frozen Fat Ride” on Saturday evening and a Fat Bike Race on Sunday Morning. Categories for all ability levels from beginner to expert. Prizes from local sponsors will be given to top 3 male/female finishers in each category. All proceeds from race will go to PRNEMBA to benefit the trail system at Essex Woods!
* This is a Fat Tire Race – No skinny tires! We are talking 3.8 or larger
** The trails are mix of single track and bike paths that will be groomed by snow machine.
*** We can not control the weather and the race will happen regardless of weather conditions. We recommend participants be prepared to race in any condition.
