June 3, 2012, staggered start times beginning at 8 a.m.
L.L. Bean’s Casco Conference Center, Freeport
Volunteer for the Women’s Ride
The Bicycle Coalition of Maine’s Women’s Ride is a celebration of women and bicycling. The event offers a friendly, supportive atmosphere geared toward girls and women of all ages and abilities. The routes (five, 15, 25 or 50 mile options) follow quiet roads, offering beautiful views of the Maine coast and countryside.
You can register as an individual or enjoy the day as part of a team. As with most things, the more the merrier! So encourage your mom, daughters, sisters, co-workers, and friends to ride together. Create a name for yourselves and we’ll do the rest! If you already ride with a team or club, it may already be listed on the registration page. Make this ride your ‘Start of the Summer’ tradition!
All rides begin and end at L.L. Bean’s Casco Conference Center. There are rest stops, healthy snacks and support vehicles along the way.
Participants can receive a free massage and practice yoga at the Casco Conference Center before or after their ride.
Then, we’ll head down the road to Gritty’s Freeport for a special party with free food and door prizes. You can even try out hula hooping!
The first 250 women who register will receive goody bags. For the first time, women will be able to register and check in for the ride on Saturday evening, June 2.
