Foundations of Mountain Biking – Saturday Skills Ride FOR KIDS (and their adults)!

June 11, 2016 @ 9:30 am - 11:30 pm

Free

Saturday is Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day, so we’re going to have a kid-focused skills ride on Saturday at Smith Preserve in Kennebunkport! This ride will be limited to 12 riders (kids and adults), and is ideal for ages 8-12, though if the child is comfortable on a multi-speed mountain bike, they are welcome. All kids MUST have an adult guardian present to sign the release waiver, and an adult who is responsible for them joining for the entire ride. Up to 2 kids per family, please.
Please register here to hold your spot: http://goo.gl/forms/v22V4Rt5X8yBI5Au2
This ride will start with a brief fit/familiarization and skills overview session, as needed, so that you can be comfortable and use the skills on the trail. We will provide ample opportunities for do-overs, group discussion, and practice of specific skills, and provide time to gain an understanding of the trails.

HELMETS ARE MANDATORY FOR ALL CLASSES AND RIDES. BYO-BIKE
Also bring water, a snack or two, and wear appropriate clothing.
