Women, Femmes, & Thems Summer Ride Series

Our free Summer Ride series, centering femme, transgender, women, and non-binary riders returns for our 3rd season in 2023, with a new name!

Rides are free but space is limited! Click a date below to confirm your spot! Registration closes on the day of each ride at noon.

What do our group rides entail? Every other week we’ll take a group of no more than 25 (with 3 female ride leaders) on 6-14 mile rides, featuring some of the most rideable road and trail routes in the surrounding Portland area. The group will always stick together, and ride at a comfortable pace. These are not club rides! They are designed for those new-ish to group rides, or who just like to take in the sights while biking. Expect light to rolling hills only, and travel at about 10 mph. Each ride will take about 1.5 to 2 hours to complete.

Bikes and helmets are required. We recommend you bring water, sunscreen, bug spray, a front & rear bike light, closed toed shoes.

Looking to start or build programming that supports underrepresented genders and identities biking in Maine? Take a look at our new microgrant program and apply for funding!

Join us every other Wednesday, always at 5:30 p.m., always free. Please arrive no later than 5:15 p.m. Registration closes at noon on the day of the ride.

Click the date you would like to register for (the second half of the series has dates only, but no registration yet, so stay tuned!)
