Women’s Ride – Ride Options

Registration is now open for the 2022 Women’s Ride presented by Northern Light Health & Norway Savings Bank. Thanks to all those that signed up as hosts—we have many different ride choices to offer throughout the state!

Below is a chart of the ride locations. Click the location name to learn about the ride, host group description, and ride start time (they are all different!). All rides will have a leader and a sweep. Choose a ride that suits your level of riding, or try something new—NO ONE will be left behind.

Refer to these definitions to assess which ride is best for you. Remember that these rides are GROUP, NO-DROP rides, meaning that if you are a “seasoned” rider, and you sign up for a “casual/beginner” ride, the pace will be slower than you may be used to, and the group will stay together.

  • Beginner/Casual – Road = mostly flat / Mountain or trail = green trails, beginner trails.
Catered toward women who are not used to riding bikes in groups, who may ride their bikes fewer than one time a week on average, less than 10 mph on average, plus more rest breaks.
  • Intermediate/Recreational – Road = slightly more difficult / Mountain or trail = light technical trails, still mainly flowy.
Think riders who use their bikes two-ish times per week, and ride at about 10 mph on average. May do short commutes, and can handle some rolling hills, maybe one steep one, and slightly more mileage.
  • Seasoned – Road = hills are expected, longer distances / Mountain or trail = uneven terrain, technical trails are expected.
Riders who are comfortable on their bikes, can ride at a faster pace ~13+ mph, and ride several times a week on average.

When you’ve found the one you want to attend, click the name to register! Registration is pay-what-you-can, with a suggested donation of $35 (which will help to offset the cost for those who cannot pay). We just want to ride with you!
