Women’s Ride Summer Series

Every other Wednesday starting on July 14, we will be a leading a series of free, laid-back women’s group rides.

What does that entail? The group will always stick together, and have a leader and a sweep. These are not club rides! They are designed for women new-ish to group rides, or those who just like to take in the sights while biking. Expect light to rolling hills only on these 10-15 mile rides, where we will be traveling about 10 mph. Each ride will take about 1.5 to 2 hours to complete.

All rides leave at 5:30 p.m. from the designated location below (click on a ride for parking info). Sign up for as many rides as you like, by clicking on the ride of your choice below.

#1 July 14 — Eastern Trail (Black Point Rd. to Thornton Academy)— 12 miles round trip. The Eastern Trail is a gravel path- gravel, mountain, or hybrid bikes are recommended, or a road bike with wide tires (at least 28 mm).

#2 July 28 — Mill Creek Shaws to Fort Williams State Park—10 miles round trip

#3 August 11 — Cape Elizabeth High School to Higgins Beach—13.5 miles round trip

#4 August 25 — Foreside Community Church to Cousins Island—14 miles round trip
