The Bicycle Coalition of Maine stays busy with events all year round to connect with as many pedestrians and people on bikes as possible in a variety of ways. We seek to educate adults and children about bike/ped safety through presentations and courses, host interactive demonstrations that advocate for improvements to bike/ped infrastructure, provide valet bike parking at local events, and organize gatherings and group rides to raise awareness and enthusiasm about our mission.

Wednesday Webinar- Biking to Raise Awareness & Funds with Todd Cerveris
Meet Todd Cerveris, professional actor and photographer who, like many of us, enjoys the pleasures of 2-wheeled locomotion. Last year, Todd pedaled his bike from Acadia National Park to Quebec City with the purpose of fundraising — we discussed how he connected with charities and donors, handled donations, and connected with people along the way.

This is the premise behind Vision Zero, a strategy to change how we approach and think about safety and improving our roadway environment. Vision Zero brings together a range of stakeholders to address issues of safety, encouraging collaboration among local traffic planners and engineers, policymakers, and public health professionals.
