October 4th Century Bike Challenge

On Sunday, October 4, 2026, we will be hosting our Century Challenge Ride. Riders can choose between a Metric Century (100 km) or an Imperial Century (100 miles), with staffed rest stops, mechanical support, and recommended cafe and water stops along the route. This will be our 39th year of running fundraising bike rides smoothly and safely! Each of the cyclists in the event will be raising money to support our non-profit bicycle programs. Our youth programs in Jamaica Plain help underserved Boston teens learn bicycle mechanics, community engagement, event planning, sales, and administrative skills. These skills lay a foundation for professional development that will help them get higher paying jobs. Additionally, every dollar raised by participants directly supports Bikes Not Bombs’ work to: • Refurbish and distribute bicycles • Advocate for safe and equitable transportation options in Boston • Ship bicycles to our international partners in the Global South • Empower Boston youth through our paid Youth Apprenticeship program The Century Challenge is a great opportunity for cyclists to challenge themselves, connect with the broader cycling community, and support a meaningful cause.
