Transportation Technical Assistance Program

The Bicycle Coalition of Maine is pleased to announce we have entered a partnership with the Maine Department of Transportation (MaineDOT) to provide Maine communities with active transportation technical assistance. If your community is frustrated with lack of bike/ped infrastructure, speeding, pedestrian visibility, or more, we can help! BCM is excited to work with your community to address your top safety concerns or help you identify them.

Example transportation technical assistance initiatives:

  • Bike/ped public engagement
  • Assistance with local municipal processes
  • Planning or design of demonstration projects

Application Details:

Intake forms are accepted on a rolling basis. Projects will be selected based on alignment with MaineDOT statewide and local active transportation safety goals. If your project is suitable to our scope, BCM will be in touch with next steps shortly after form submission.
