On Tuesday, May 7, the Bicycle and Pedestrian Coalition of Maine will be hosting “Bike/Walk Day at the Capitol.” Starting at 7:30 a.m., this event will include brief comments from legislators and BCM staff before groups head out for a walk near the statehouse or a bike ride down to Hallowell and back.
We’ll have bikes—including e-bikes—for legislators to use, but you should bring your own bike and helmet to join the fun. We want a big turnout to show the legislators in Augusta that the walk and bike community in Maine is paying attention!
Plan to meet at 7:30 a.m. in the plaza between the Capitol building and Cross Building. The event should last less than two hours.
